Liebster Award

Wow!! I'm totally blown away that my little ole blog has been nominated for the Liebster Blog Award. Thank you so much to Lyndsey at www.lyndsey-littleharper.blogspot.com for being a follower and nominating me :)

From what I've read, the award is a way to let others know about more about yourself and to connect with other bloggers who share similar interests. Here are the rules:

1. Post 11 random facts about yourself.
2. Answer the 11 questions the tagger set up for you and then create 11 new questions for the bloggers you are passing the award to.
3. Choose new bloggers (with less than 200 followers) to pass the award onto and and link them in your post.

11 Random Facts About Me:

1. I have a very guilty pleasure for all of the Real Housewives series. I just love to see the drama that unfolds with these women every week.
2. I was the mascot for my High School my junior year. Go Fighting Farmers!
3. I always keep my Nook on me wherever I go. I hate being somewhere with nothing to do so it's always put to good use!
4. I played slow pitch softball for 7 years growing up. I also played volleyball and ran the hurdles in track.
5. My husband is my best friend and I don't even know how it's possible but I love him more and more each day.
6. I snort when I laugh, especially when something is really funny.
7. I love showers and weddings. To see how happy friends are makes my heart happy. And it's never a bad spread of food and cake :)
8. I cry on every episode of Undercover Boss. The generosity at the end and what some of the employees go through totally pulls at my heart strings.
9. I buy $8 granola which I hide from my husband. It's the best ever and while I ration it, J could eat the whole bag in two sittings!
10. I snore. Horrible sounding noises come out of me....like a hog. I'm hoping this 'problem' will go away soon.
11. I'm going to be a new Mommy in about 5 weeks and I can't wait to hold my little boy!

The 11 Questions from Lyndsey and My Answers:

1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?  Australia.  This has always just been a dream trip for my husband and I.  I want to spend my time in Sydney, on the beach and checking out all of the sites!
2. How would others describe you?  This is a hard one.  I'm going to put what I hope people would say about me :) Loving, Friendly, Caring, Optimistic, Outgoing, Giving and Loyal
3. If you could hop in a time machine which year would you go to? (past or future)  First off, I would not change a thing about my past because I feel like that would've changed my present and future.  J and I were actually talking about this yesterday, that if we took a different path in our past, we may not be where we are today - with each other, baby on the way, great life, etc.  That being said, I would go back to November 13, 2010 - our wedding day.  That was such a special day for us both and everytime I go to a wedding, it makes me want to go back to my own, celebrating us with our family and friends.
4. What do you do to relax?  I'm a sucker for a couch and tv so if I'm really not wanting to do anything, that's where you can find me :)
5. What's your greatest achievement in life?  Starting a family.  Though our little man isn't here yet, I know that this will be forever the greatest part of my life and it can only go up from here.
6. Why did you start writing your blog?  I have followed a few friends, DIY and Food blogs in the last few years.  I love reading about their lives, projects and learning new recipes.  I meant to start my blog when I first found out I was pregnant but got a little bit of a late start :)  To me it's an outlet to say what I think, projects I've done, meals that I've made and right now, write about my pregnancy. 
7. What inspires you? J inspires me.  He is one of the most generous and giving people I know.  He is kind to strangers and always lends a hand when he sees someone in need.  This past weekend we had stopped at a gas station on the way to Houston and on the frontage road there was a broke down truck that was holding up traffic.  Instead of driving away like every else was doing, he helped them push their truck into the gas station so they would be out of the road.  It was a Mom and her two kids and I know they very much appreciated him helping when he did not have to.  Even the two little boys came out to the back of the truck to help him push :)
8. What is your favorite food?  There are wayyyy to many favorites to list so I'm going with type of food.  Breakfast for sure!  I could eat breakfast anytime of the day.  My favorite brunch place to go to is a place in Downtown McKinney called Spoons Cafe.  Their waffles are out of this world!
9. What room in your house is your favorite place to be? Probably the living room.  We have  an open floor plan so I never feel trapped in there.  Plus it has my trusty couch and TV :)  I'm sure pretty soon though it will be little man's nursery!
10. What is your biggest pet peeve?  I very much am a planner and to have something planned and then for it to be changed at the last minute gives me major anxiety.  J is very much a spontaneous person so I'm trying to be a lot better about this.
11. What is your favorite sport to watch or participate in? College Football.  I was never a huge sports fan but once I met J I became one.  He is from Louisiana and is a huge LSU and Saints fan so I always enjoy watching the games with him - when they're winning of course!
