Today's prompt for The Thankful Project is A Place. Hands down, our trip to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon almost 3 years ago.
We had been to Mexico and loved it but knew we wanted to go somewhere different to celebrate our marriage. Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana, DR is where we stayed and it was so beautiful. The weather, the beach, resort, food - everything was perfect. We met some awesome people while we were there and J pretty much became a celebrity there after his awesome karaoke rendition of Vanilla Ice's 'Ice Ice Baby'.
We went to the spa, disco, beach everyday and ate soooo much food I probably gained 10lbs while we were there. The one excursion we did was swimming with Sting Rays and Nurse Sharks. It was fun but I was scared and J was in Heaven!
We would love to go back someday, maybe for our 5 or 10 year anniversary (I'm thinking the sooner the better).
