There's a first time for everything

***I edited some names on here (J's) and now it seems as if this post is my 4th but it's really the 1st :)

I've never blogged before, I'm a horrible writer, and I always say way too much yet I never know what to say about myself.

So what does any normal person do that knows this about themselves??  We start a blog :)

I have so much fun reading other blogs, seeing growing families, learning new recipes, and of course all the crafts that I know I'm going to get to someday. So here's my start at it all!

I thought I'd start my first post off with a little bit of info about me in the form of questions.....that I of course did not come up with!

1. Were you named after anyone?
Yes!  My Mom is one of 5 and she named me after her 3 sisters: Teri, Ann and Karen. I love it because I have 3 wonderful Aunts who I don't see very often but when we do its always a great time!

2. When was the last time you cried?
Yesterday.  I am a sucker for being emotional. Especially now since I'm 29 weeks pregnant. J and I were watching Undercover Boss and I always ball like a baby when they reveal themselves and help the employee by what they found out while undercover. The generosity and kindness of people this day in age just warms my heart!

3. Do you have any kids?

Not yet but we're expecting our first on April 13th! I honestly can't believe how much the time has flown by. I feel like it was just yesterday (August 10th to be exact) when we found out. We had been trying since November 2011 so imagine my surprise when we FINALLY got the positive. And thankfully my pregnancy has been pretty easy....minus the back pain and indigestion! But I'd take that over nausea any day :) So, we'll be welcoming our first boy in about 11 weeks.

4. Do you think you are strong?

Physically, not so much....Mentally, I feel like I get stronger every day. J is my rock and he really helps me and encourages me everyday with the littlest things. Sometimes (most of the time), I need that little push.

5. What is the first thing you notice about people?

Like most, I see the physical features of people I just meet. I feel like you can tell a lot about someone by their eyes and smile.

6. Favorite Smells?

Vanilla, Lavender, Cinnamon Rolls baking in the oven, Babies, Freshly Baked Cookies, J's shower gel (I always have to smell at least 5 or 6 different ones before I buy), Coco's ears (I know - weird), the list could definitely go on!

7. What is your most cherished childhood memory?

I have 2 cousins on my Mom's side that are the same age as me. Pretty much every year while we were growing we'd spend a week or so in FL at my grandparents house. We all lived in different parts of the country so to have that bonding time with them was so awesome. We were all three pretty close then and we even ironically all three got married the same year.
Sara & Jessi - if y'all are reading this - we need another summer at Grandma & Grandpa's house :)

8. If given the freedom to start fresh, which profession would you choose and why?

Event planning for sure. I would love to own a building (think rustic, wood beams, etc) that people could have weddings and parties in. I would help with the coordination of it all and I would for sure hire my Aunt Nicki to do decor! She's amazing and has done several weddings including mine. Maybe someday :)

9. On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with your life right now?

9 - I have an amazing husband, the sweetest pup and a little bundle of joy on the way. My family and friends mean the world to me and I've never felt closer to them all then I have in the past year. I have no complaints....I feel very blessed to live the life I have and to share it with the people that I love the most. I could've very easily put a 10 but I feel like each day opens my eyes to new experiences and feelings that if I were already at a 10, I don't know that I'd notice.

10. Do you believe in God?

Absolutely!! My biggest goal this year is to read the bible and really know the message that He has given us to learn. J and I have started to go back to church and I'm looking forward to the discussions and spiritual relationship that we will have together as we grow in our marriage and raise our kids.

Hoping to have a nursery update by the end of the week with lots of pics and praises for J who has literally done it all :)
